There are many ways to support Fans for the Cure and our goal of drastically reducing the number of prostate cancer deaths in our country (and throughout the world) by stressing the importance of early-stage diagnosis.
Our programs promote awareness, regular engagement and discussions with one’s physician, and appropriate monitoring of one’s prostate health. We also provide physician referrals and educational resources we hope will lead men to the latest and best healthcare solutions in both diagnostic procedures and treatment programs.
Donate to Support Our Programs
You can help us by contributing to our programs, either as a one-time donor, a recurring member, or as a contributor to specific programs, such as helping out our online support groups, Stay in the Game podcast, or funding a free screening for men without insurance or the resources to see a doctor.
Other Ways to Give Besides Donations
- Tell the men in your life to go to the doctor. Prostate cancer has a cure rate that approaches 99% when the disease is detected early, when the maximum number of treatment options – and many less invasive ones – are available. Please be aware that race (African American men) and family history of the disease increase the odds of a positive test for prostate cancer in a man’s lifetime.
- Inform friends and family members diagnosed with prostate cancer about Fans for the Cure. Our charity exists to provide support for men and families on their journeys with prostate cancer. We provide support groups, educational materials (hard copies and online), and physician referrals for second (and third) opinions.
- Spend a day with us at a community health event. It’s good for the soul. Get in touch with us about such an event near you by emailing us at [email protected].
Help us in our efforts to make it possible for dads and sons and uncles and grandfathers to all stay together, longer. Prostate cancer is often highly curable when a PSA screening catches it in its earliest stages.
