Each year, Fans for the Cure takes a Spring Training Tour educating minor league baseball teams about prostate cancer. Ed Randall traveled to Arizona and Florida to meet with young men to boost their awareness of prostate cancer and the importance of prostate cancer screening in men over 40.
The goal is not only to inform young athletes about future health risk, but also to encourage them to educate their loved ones. Simple prostate cancer tests can lead to early diagnosis, and if detected early, prostate cancer has a nearly 97% cure rate. Fans4theCure.org met with sixteen minor league baseball teams, representing states across the nation.
Fans4theCure.org is a non-profit dedicated to striking out prostate cancer through early detection. Help us spread the word. Support our mission to educate the public about prostate cancer, prostate cancer screening, and prostate cancer early detection.
