This Mother’s Day, our friends and colleagues at Molloy College are honoring mothers and caregivers in a very special way. As a part of a heart-warming spot on the TODAY show, Molloy College announced a new scholarship in honor of Lori and Carolyn Brady, a mother and daughter who are both nurses and Molloy college alumnae. Molloy College officially recognized the leadership and service of these two women, creating a scholarship in Lori’s and Carolyn’s name – The Brady Legacy Grant, to fund future nurses’ education.
The touching interview on the TODAY show in its famous plaza was a testament to not only the love that the mother and daughter have for each other, but also to the dedication that they bring to their work as nurses. Lori and Carolyn both have been in the trenches of healthcare during the Covid pandemic.
Molloy College Supports Celebrating Mother’s Day
Fans for the Cure has a longstanding and fruitful relationship with Molloy College. We have to come to rely on the college’s ongoing commitment to our work and to their support of the prostate cancer cancer community.
We are especially grateful for Molloy College’s support of our Celebrating Mother’s Day campaign. Through their financial support and by highlighting the importance and value of women and caregivers in the lives of so many men as they journey with prostate cancer, Molloy College is providing strong leadership in helping our charity achieve the goals of our campaign. We extend our deep thanks to our friends at Molloy College.
About Molloy College
With a beautiful campus on Long Island, New York, Molloy College has some unique qualities: the genuine friendliness of a comparatively small group in an academic setting, the resulting close faculty-student-community relationship, emphasis upon quality rather than quantity, the wisdom to know that knowledge plus character is necessary for a successful happy life here and hereafter.
