We are excited to share that for 2022, Fans for the Cure has partnered with No-Shave November to increase awareness about prostate cancer and fundraise in support of our programs.
Together with the team at No-Shave November, we will be growing facial hair or donning blue mustaches to remind men and their families of the importance of early – and regular – testing for prostate cancer. Our awareness efforts will include highlighting the many treatment options that follow a diagnosis of prostate cancer. We will certainly be talking about the often under-emphasized side effects of the different treatment options. We will emphasize the importance of taking care of our overall physical and mental health during a journey with this disease. And together with our team of fundraisers and supporters, we will be asking for donations to cover the cost of our work in the prostate cancer community.
Introducing Our Starting Lineup
Steve Garvey – As Chairman of our Board of Directors, Steve shares our messages of early and regular testing with folks across the nation. He is a champion for our cause and our programs. When November arrives, we know that he will again be taking time to don a blue mustache and talk to men about prostate cancer.
Ed Randall – Our Founder and Chief Advocacy Officer will dip into his box of blue and silly mustaches, sharing photos of his azure and ridiculous facial adornment on social media.
Join Our Team
We are recruiting people to join our team of fundraisers – men and women willing to don real and fake mustaches and beards on behalf of Fans for the Cure. With No-Shave November around the corner, now is the perfect time to create your own fundraising page, join our team, and tell your friends, family, work colleagues, and contacts about your new page.
Of course, we very much welcome individual donations to our No-Shave November campaign. All donations will help fund our programs, which include online support groups for men and for women, in-person PSA screenings and awareness events, our highly-rated Stay in the Game podcast, and medical referrals.
