We are excited to announce an exciting new awareness and fundraising program that we are calling Mascots March Against Prostate Cancer. Drawing on our long history with MLB, the NHL, Minor League Baseball, we are partnering with team mascots from across the country to raise awareness about prostate cancer, the value of early testing, the importance of follow up appointments, and the potential side effects of different treatment options.
Missed Cancer Screenings Due to Covid
Covid has led to tens of millions of missed cancer screenings of all types and across all genders and identifications. We are hoping that the Mascots March, in addition to being good fun, will also focus attention back on people keeping current with their essential annual health screenings.
As part of Mascots March, the mascots will communicate these important messages of prostate cancer awareness and diligence to their fans and local communities, while welcoming financial donations to Fans for the Cure’s programs that support of the prostate cancer community. Each team mascot will have their own awareness and fundraising page on our charity’s website.
