The charity will mark National Caregiver Appreciation Day with a daytime webinar, followed by an evening reception in New York City.
The webinar will be hosted by Dr. Allison Applebaum, who will be sharing content from Stand By Me, A Guide to Navigating Modern, Meaningful Caregiving, her best-selling book that explores both her personal and professional experiences with caregiving and as a care partner.
Our Chairman of the Board, Steve Garvey, will be joining us in person at the evening reception to share his thoughts on the true unsung heroes in our lives – the spouses, partners, friends, and professionals who embrace the role of caregivers. Copies of Dr. Applebaum’s book, Stand By Me, will be available free of charge at the reception, thanks to the generosity of our event underwriters.
