Cruisin' for a Cure: In Support of Prostate Cancer Research |
| |
At the request of a member of our Online Men's Support Group, we are sharing details for Cruisin' for a Cure, an expansive car show taking place on Saturday, September 9 in southern California.
Founded in 1999 by a woman whose husband was diagnosed with (and subsequently passed from) prostate cancer, healthcare partners have provided over 15,000 cancer screenings since the event's founding. The screenings are managed by KSK Cancer Center of Irvine.
Additional information and tickets to this enormous (3,000 cars) show are available on the Cruisin' for a Cure website. All proceeds from this event will benefit prostate cancer research in the southern California area. |

Have a Catch with Ed Randall |
| |
Also as part of National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Ed Randall will be making himself available throughout the New York/NJ/CT area in September (and beyond) to have special catches with those who wish to support the charity. Break the old high school mitt out of mothballs and fire up the long-neglected pitching arm. Ed travels with a trunkload of brand new Rawlings baseballs at all times, so all the elements of a catch will be in place.
We invite people to sign up for a catch and invite your friends and family to support the catch with Ed. Or get in touch with us at [email protected], and we will help you sign up and walk you through the process. We will come up with a location for the catch that works for everyone.
Ed is just back from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he dazzled Kernels’ fans in the postgame on-the-field catch with both his stamina and (relatively) high-velocity throwing arm. |

GET INTO THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE BEFORE THE COLD WEATHER ARRIVES |
| |
At Fans for the Cure, we advocate for men to connect with solid, proven doctors who can deliver that sense of "This is the right way forward."
Through our community programs, health events, and local and national outreach, we have established an extensive network of leading urologists, oncologists, and medical professionals with whom we have established relationships and whom we trust with medical referrals. Should you be seeking a medical referral, we are happy to help connect you with doctors in all areas of the country for testing, second opinions, and guidance explaining treatment options. |
