As we mark the end of January, I am filled with immense gratitude and excitement for the year ahead. The calendar for 2025 is already getting filled with important health events and PSA screenings that will make a significant impact on our community's well-being.
I am particularly thrilled to celebrate a wonderful community event Fans for the Cure recently held in collaboration with Dr. Michael Feuerstein of NewYork Presbyterian – Westchester and the Messiah Baptist Church on Saturday, January 18, at the Yonkers Public Library. It was a day spent exchanging essential information, as well as experiencing the strong camaraderie of men united in a common mission to support their brothers and families affected by prostate cancer.
Looking ahead a couple of weeks, we hope you can join us at Flowers Park in New Rochelle from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. for what has become our annual Super Bowl Sunday Catch. Bring your glove – and we will provide the baseballs. Visit [email protected] with any questions or go to the Catch for the Cure fundraising site if you cannot make it to Flowers Park but wish to support the event.
Thank you for standing with us and for being a vital part of the Fans for the Cure community. Together, we are making a difference in the fight against prostate cancer. We look forward to your continued support as we move forward in 2025. |

Super Bowl Sunday to Kick Off Year of Catches
|
| |
Ed Randall will again be hosting a “catch” event on Super Bowl Sunday, February 9, to kick off a year of catches meant to call attention to the importance of early detection in achieving best outcomes for those diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Bring your glove, and Fans for the Cure (and Rawlings) will supply the baseballs. The gathering will take place at Flowers Park in New Rochelle (NY) from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Building on last year’s 30 Catches in 30 Days during National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month (September), Ed is planning to expand 30 Catches to June to mark Men’s Health Month.
There is no need to RSVP, but if you'd like to let us know that you are coming, please send an email to [email protected]. |
