As we wrap up 2025, I want to thank you for standing with Fans for the Cure during a year that was challenging for so many nonprofits, yet deeply meaningful and gratifying for our work. Thanks to your support, we were able to meet men and families in the community, at ballparks, and through our education and support programs—providing information, access, and reassurance when and where it was needed most.
I am grateful to our partners, clinicians, advocates, our staff, and longtime supporters who help make everything possible. Together, we are working to remove barriers to quality healthcare and continue to support men on their prostate cancer journeys by offering clarity and perspective.
Looking ahead to 2026, I do so with optimism. We plan to build on this momentum with continued community outreach, screenings, and conversations that meet people where they are—while staying true to the values that have guided Fans for the Cure since its founding in 2003.
Thank you for your trust, your generosity, and your belief in our work. |

Community Health at the Dominican Republic’s Consulate in Paterson, NJ
|
| |
|
Fans for the Cure was proud to partner on a recent community health event at the Consulate of the Dominican Republic in Paterson, New Jersey, where approximately 80 community members came together for a late afternoon focused on wellness and access to care. Attendees of all ages participated in a range of health screenings, including PSA testing for uninsured men over 40, helping ensure that men who might otherwise delay care had the opportunity to get important baseline information.
Thanks to funds raised on Giving Tuesday, the impact extended beyond conventional health checkups. Forty families left the event with bags of groceries and fresh produce—practical support that recognizes how closely nutrition, stability, and health are connected. We are grateful to The ManKave Health and our local partners and supporters who helped make the day welcoming, informative, and meaningful for the families we serve. |

Holiday Spectacular with John Pizzarelli — December 8
|
| |
|
Fans for the Cure closed out the season in style with a joyful holiday concert starring Grammy winner, John Pizzarelli, at the SVA Theatre on December 8. The evening also featured bassist Mike Karn and a standout performance by 18-year-old pianist Ben Collins-Siegel that included a rollicking, crowd-pleasing sing-along version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Prior to the music, there was a welcome by Ed Randall and brief presentations by Fans for the Cure’s Karen Shaffer and Dr. Jim Hu, a renowned urologic oncologist and researcher with Weill Cornell Medicine.
Our heartfelt thanks to John, Ben, and Mike—and to our generous sponsors: the SVA Theatre, TD Bank, Calvary Hospital, Bill Taubner, and Mary Pat and Chris Christie—for making it a memorable night in support of our mission. |

Stay in the Game: New Episodes & Recognition
|
| |
|
In mid-December, Stay in the Game released two new podcast episodes that further its focus on education, perspective, and practical guidance for men and families navigating prostate cancer. The new episodes feature Nicole Robertson of the American Cancer Society’s ACS Cares program, and Dr. Ash Tewari of the Mount Sinai Health System, who shared insights drawn from decades of patient care, advocacy, and research.
In addition to these releases, a podcast interview with Dr. Joseph Alukal, Director of Men’s Health at Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian, will be available on Wednesday, January 7. Dr. Alukal will address overall men’s health, as well as male infertility and options to help men deal with sexual dysfunction.
We are grateful to Bayer and Cancer Health Magazine for the support that allowed Stay in the Game to reach listeners around the world during 2025. We were also pleased to share that Stay in the Game finished the year ranked as No. 3 worldwide among prostate cancer podcasts, a significant recognition of the thoughtful conversations made possible by our guests, hosts, partners, and listeners. |
